With 15 years of experience in the Affordable Housing and Management Industry, Carmen Rivera serves as Blanco’s Administrative Director. She maintains the oversight of the Corporate Accounting Department, Project Accounting Department, Procurement and New Business Development. Carmen’s role seeks to merge the affordable and conventional sides of property management into one, striving to enhance the company culture of accountability and, engagement. She oversees all aspects of portfolio management and is involved in the cross functional relationships with the Maintenance, Accounting, Compliance and Human Resources Departments. She is responsible for the efficient and cost effective operations of Blanco’s owned and operated properties throughout the portfolio. Mrs. Rivera is experienced in property management, asset management and is versed in the mechanics of multiple federal housing programs and the development of financial partnerships for managing affordable housing, purchasing and rehabilitating multifamily properties. She joined Blanco’s team in 2014 and has been critical in closing numerous financing deals in Blanco’s portfolio to address capital needs improvements, rehabilitations and new developments. Carmen holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez Campus.
When not at the office she enjoys being with her family, riding MTB and work on carpentry projects.
